If those pins are already bent you would probably better off getting a new cable one that doesn t have those locking pins as they usually end up broken and causing more issues than they solve. If you still have one stuck in a thin plastic card of some sort should be able to release the locking pins. The instructions were clear and concise. If this happens often consider getting locks for your hdmi cables or self locking cables.
